Let’s Cook Together! One of My Favorite Breakfasts

I’m always amazed how many people don’t eat breakfasts! Even though, I was once one of them!

Did you know that I never used to eat breakfasts? I thought breakfasts made me fat. Because I was a total sugar addict, I was saving my calories for something that I enjoyed much more… desserts.

Breakfast literally means breaking fast and it’s important to break it with nutritious foods. The nutrients are absorbed quickly first thing in the morning and are needed to give the body a needed boost to start the day.

When I started making changes in my diet and my lifestyle I started with BREAKFAST! But with good, healthy breakfasts like the one below… or my other favorite one, green smoothie.

For the first time in my adult life I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner and…LOST WEIGHT. Now I’m a big believer in breakfasts. That’s why my Diet-Free Program To Lose Weight, Feel Great and Look Fabulous starts with breakfast!

Today I would like to share with you my favorite recipe for Hot Oats Topped with Berries and Home Made Almond Milk. It taste delish.

So, let’s get started!

Hot Oats Topped with Berries

and HomeMade Almond Milk

Let’s start with Home Made Almond Milk.

This step is optional. You can use your favorite store bought nondairy milk, for example: almond, oat, soy or hemp.

Step 1: Ingredients For The Milk

1 cup water

1/4 cup almonds (soaked overnight) 

1 tsp honey

1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

If you buy your almond milk at the strore please make sure that you chose the “no sugar added” option. 

Step 2:

Put all ingredients into the blender

and blend!

Step 3 The Oats

1/2 cup gluten free Old Fashioned or rolled oats 

1/2 cup water

mix together and and soak overnight.

In the morning cook the oats for a few minuts untli soft but not overcooked. 

Step 4 Berries

1/2 – 1/4 cup blueberries

4 – 5 strawberries

1/2 banana

cut banana and strawbarries into smaller pieces

Step 5

Add almond milk into oats and top with berries
