Traveling La Dolce Vita style! What do I eat when I travel?

I’m a day away from my next trip to Palm Beach and I’m excited about my trip and my summer intensives.

Before I get on the plane at 6 am tomorrow morning, I would like to share with you what I take with me. That way I don’t count on the only options available: peanuts, pretzels, and chips.

Have you ever arrived at the airport or got on the plane and discovered there is absolutely nothing healthy to eat? This has happened to me many times!

I travel a lot, and there are not that many airports that offer organic gourmet dining or juice and salad bars… Although I have to say it’s getting much better.

I’m all about systems, so over the years I’ve created one that works and I continue using it every time I fly.

Many people think that it is challenging to stay healthy and balanced when you travel…

And I say…only when you are not prepared!

I would like to invite you to my kitchen to see how

I get ready for my next trip to

Palm Beach tomorrow morning.

I love to start all my mornings feeling RELAXED and have even a few minute for my spiritual practice and setting an intention for the day and for my trip…

I don’t know about you but I don’t function very well when I’m rushed and stressed out especially in the morning. It sets the tone for my whole day…

To have my morning stress-free, I fill my blender with all ingredients for my morning Divine Body Smoothie the evening before my trip. I keep it in the refrigerator overnight.

The next morning I just add water and blend! I like to sip it on my way to the airport.

MY TRAVEL TIP! Just in case you don’t make your smoothie

My favorite protein shakes and powder greens are plant-based, gluten, dairy, soy, and sugar-free and very high in nutrients and probiotics.

They work great for me in the morning when I want to work out or go for a run…I enjoy something light rather than a full breakfast before my exercise…

They are also great for traveling! You can make one at home or just after you pass the airport security.

I use a combination of 1 package of the Raw Reserve Green Superfoods which are powdered greens, 1 package of Vega One all-in-one or Garden of Life nutritional shake and mix it in my LifeFactory glass bottle of water (20oz).

The shakes come in many flavors but I love everything chocolate!

You can buy all the products at Whole Foods Stores or online at Amazon.

The next on my absolute must for traveling is a gigantic salad for lunch. YES, I travel with my own food!

I make my salad the night before. I use a plastic container for the salad and another small one for the dressing (I’m trying to stay away from plastic in general but for traveling that is the lightest option).

Taking my salad with me feels amazing!

I usually have my salad, sip my mint Yogi tea, and work or RELAX (I have to admit, I love working on the plane).

Are you curious what is in my salad?

First of all my salads are gigantic, my husband calls them platters 🙂

The whole container is filled with greens, colorful veggies, beans, mushrooms, sprouts, olives, avocados, nuts, and seeds. I use light miso lemon dressing.

The next on my checklist is a selection of herbal teas. I take my favorite teas with me when I travel because most of the planes and some hotels don’t offer any herbal options.

Caffeine is dehydrating and I already feel very dehydrated when I travel, especially on the plane. So I hydrate as much as I can and stay away from caffeinated drinks…not to mention caffeine gives me headaches.

Having a cup of tea like mint, ginger or chamomile is very soothing, calming, and relaxing for the stomach.

My afternoon cup of tea helps me also with my sugar cravings and snacking after a meal.

For traveling, I take my small glass thermos or use my glass smoothie bottle to keep my tea hot.

Travel luxuriously!

Sending you lots of love,
