Warm up, wake up, and unwind with a HOTTEST new beverage – A Turmeric Latte

Turmeric is Super-Hot, Super-Healthy, Super-Trendy and everyone is talking about it!

Dr. Oz, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wail and all the health experts agree that it is the Holy Grail of health and all the studies agree with them.

Since turmeric is so great for me I decided to find a way to have it all… the benefits I love with a ritual I enjoy.

Turmeric Latte – Love at First Sight!

I combined the Super-Healthy with Super-Tasty and voila! There I had it; the Turmeric Late was discovered!

I embraced the idea fully and the feelings were mutual.

I’m in love with the Turmeric Latte and the Turmeric Latte loves me back!

When we are in this kind of relationship we can indulge, feel satisfied and be healthy.

It was an instant revelation in my life…

And now I can’t help but wonder; how was I ever living my life before the Turmeric Latte?

1.Goodbye coffee, Good Morning Turmeric Latte!

I shared with you in my previous email that I was looking for a delicious way to substitute my morning coffee. I was introduced to this new recipe by my daughter, Sonia.

It was perfect timing and a perfect match – now I start my day sipping my creamy latte and I feel great.

  1. Sugar cravings or energy dip in the afternoon.

These happen sometimes just after I finish my lunch or around 3-4pm. I crave something sweet, re-energizing… and a few minutes to myself.

It is a perfect time to treat myself to a break from work and a luscious cup of latte.

My last email was all about beauty sleep. Talking about beauty and sleep, there is no better way to end your day than with a comforting, tranquilizing and beautifying cup of latte with some cinnamon and nutmeg. Just see the benefits below.

Turmeric Latte

Recipe: Kelly Brogan MD

It takes about 10 minute to prep the turmeric paste.

Combine 1/2 cup of water with 1/4 a cup of organic turmeric in a saucepan and heat on low for about 6-7 minutes, adding more water (up to 1/2 additional cup) if it becomes too dry.

Remove from heat and stir in 1/6 cup of raw, organic coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil, and 1/4 – 1/2tsp of black pepper.

Store this in a glass container in the fridge.

In the morning, put one teaspoon or less of paste in a mug, add a dash of cinnamon, cardamom, clove, a few drops of stevia (my favorite kind is Stevita from Brazil)or a teaspoon or two of raw honey to about a 1/4 cup of almond/coconut/hemp milk (unsweetened Califia Farms is delicious… you can also make your own!

Fill the rest of the mug with boiling water and stir!

On those days when you need a little more resiliency, toss in some sliced garlic if you dare!
